Scentsy’s got school spirit…or do they?

About a month ago, Scentsy announced a new full-size warmer collection with a pretty cool video at this website.  “Scentsy’s got school spirit!” the video said. I got excited. Could it be? Scentsy warmers with NCAA team logos!  It would be perfect! Given that my Scentsy business primarily serves the UCLA community, having a UCLA Scentsy warmer would be awesome.  The products would be available for order beginning October 1st.

Then I clicked the link to the product flier and saw this:

campuscollection

The campus collection was limited to three schools: Boise State University, Brigham Young University, and University of Utah.  Umm, good for them?

I was disappointed to see no UCLA warmer, but the first three school selections made sense: the Scentsy founders are from Utah and the owners are from Idaho. From a business perspective, you go first to where the majority of Scentsy customers already are.  I get it.

However, today Scentsy launched a new site for its campus collection: http://www.fillthestands.com. At the bottom of the page it says: “Where’s your team? We’ll be adding more teams soon, but we’re not sure which ones yet. Help us decide! Cast your vote today!” And yes, the glorious University of California, Los Angeles is listed.

So today my appeal to you is this: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to http://www.fillthestands.com and vote for UCLA!  And if you do go and vote, I will give you a free Scentsy gift.  That’s right, if you vote for a UCLA warmer, I will personally give you a FREE Scentsy gift. When Scentsy makes the announcement for upcoming campus collection warmers and UCLA is one of them, I will … figure something out for an awesome prize/incentive.  Leave me a comment if you have any ideas for what I, UCLA’s lone Scentsy Independent Consultant, should do if UCLA is chosen!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Put a good word in for me about the UCLA warmer! :D

Also, I’m working on a couple posts related to Scentsy: one inspired by talks given at Shine ‘09 and one about Contribute 2009. Stay tuned! :)
